Aerial Fitness Workshops
All workshops are highly personalised for between 2-4 people and offer something very different than the traditional gym experience. Held outdoors in a beautiful area of central Sydney, you will literally stretch your body and mind to tone and tune your body they way you want! All workshops are suitable for performers or general public who want to push their mind and body further!
Aerial Fitness Workshop
Those seeking a fresh pathway to fitness and well being, that enables physical development beyond that which is possible with conventional sports. A work out in the air requires a lot more stabilization so is a much more efficient work out than just working on the floor. Training in the air challenges all parts of the body, and provides a unique experience.
Aerial fitness works on all six components of fitness:
- Muscle strength
- Muscle endurance
- Flexibility
- Power
- Cardiovascular
- Balance
Flexibility Workshop
Flexibility is important for any aerialist, pole dancer or gymnast. This workshop goes far beyond any yoga class. The technique used is known as PNF (Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation). PNF is a more advanced form of flexibility training that involves the stretching and contraction of targeted muscle groups. This increases flexibility and range of movement and improving muscular strength.
Handstand Workshop
To perform a handstand requires core strength. The handstand is important for floor work for certain circus arts, gymnasts and pole dancers. You will be taught proper technique and work on the core strengths to perform a proper handstand.
